If you didn’t know already ... Squishy toys are all the rage right now. Most everyone I know has one or has been looking for a good deal to buy some. I guess you could consider it this year‘s new “fidget toy“.  Surprisingly, they have been around for several years but have only recently become a new fad here in the USA.  Kawaii themed items have already been a popular trend in Korea & Japan and also among Cosplayers & Anime lovers.

If you’re new to squishy toys there are two basic types: The soft silicone squishies and the slow rising foam squishies.  The ones shown here in THIS review are NOT slow rising. They are made of a super soft silicone that is very squishy and stretchy.  They do get dirty with constant play however, you can easily rinse them off with water and set them aside to dry.  They do tend to become extra sticky after they’ve dried off.

This is a nice value pack of 12 different animals. They come individually packaged so they make great stocking stuffers, gift bag items, treats inside Easter baskets, etc.  they are small enough to be put inside an average plastic Easter egg as well. So if you’re looking for some unique toys for an Easter egg hunt, consider this as an option.

They are fun to keep at your desk or carry in your pocket.  I decided to turn most of these into magnets for our refrigerator.  If you play with them for a long time, eventually the ink will start to fade away.  You could always get a sharpie marker and redraw the eyes and faces if needed.

Overall these were great. No major flaws.  There was a little residue left behind on the paper but once they were played with and no longer "new", they didn't leave behind this residue.  I'm only guessing it's some kind of oil to keep the silicone "fresh" during packaging, shelf-storage and shipping.  I will also have to say that the attention to detail on some of the painting of the faces were a bit lacking.  And there was also a stray piece of silicone on the grey cat.  So if you decide to give this to a younger child, be sure to inspect them for any stray pieces of silicone that you may need to clip off.  The manufacturer recommended age is three years and up.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5 stars
