Electric Heating Pad For Pets

No matter how warm we keep the house, our cats seem to always find their way to sleeping on our blankets or directly in front of the heating vents. So I was really excited about trying out this electric heating pad with our pets. It’s designed for cats or dogs but I’m sure you could use it for yourself if you really need some minor heat therapy relief!

It comes with two different covers made of fleece. They both have a zipper to make it removable for washing. Do not use the heating pad without the cover however. I’m not too fond of the zipper design. I would personally prefer using Velcro so that my cats or dogs don’t get tempted to chew on the zipper pull. However it still functions fine and does not snag.

The power cord is very long and has a metal “rope” protection around it to deter chewing. I find this to be very awesome in design if you decide to purchase this for your puppy or dog. Naturally, you would not want to leave them unattended while this is in use anyhow.

The controller is very easy to use with only three buttons: the power button, temperature up and temperature down. You can adjust the temperature from 77°F up to 131°F. When you press the up temperature button it will raise the temperature by 5° every time while the down button lowers it by 5° with each push. It also features a built in power surge protection module for extra safety.



The heating pad itself is medium in size measuring at 12“ x 16“. It’s flexible and should fit in most crates or cat beds with ease. The fleece cover adds extra comfort and warmth and definitely attracts my cats to want to curl up on this versus sitting on the cold floor in front of a heating vent. :)

I wanted to test it out myself before letting my pets try it and it felt great on my back and tummy! Ahem.. ladies, you may find yourself borrowing this once a month for a few days to relieve some cramping! 😉

I believe this product would be ideal for most any pet that gets cold easily or just wants to keep warm. It would probably also be great for an elderly pit or one that is recovering from injury or surgery.
