Product Review - Debbi Cook, Independent Lilla Rose Consultant

Product Review - Debbi Cook, Independent Lilla Rose Consultant

I was given the opportunity to select a hair clip from the Independent Lilla Rose Consultant, Debbi Cook and try it out for myself.  So many of us have heard of and/or seen these clips on Facebook, Pinterest or even from friends and family.  Now, what exactly IS Lilla Rose and what makes them so special?

Lilla Rose is a company that began as a necessary model for sharing what is arguably one of the most innovative hair styling basic accessory:
the Flexi Clip.

Lilla Rose offers the opportunity to share unique, functional innovative products anchored by their patented Flexi Clip.  They create entrepreneurial possibilities for women and men by offering fair profit margins while compensating those that desire building a much larger organization.

The Flexi Hair Clip comes in six sizes to accommodate different hair types and styles. Depending on the amount and type of hair, you might use a small for a Ponytail, but a large for a French Twist.  If you watch their video on Debbi's Independent Consultant page, you can learn some nifty styles to try out yourself and see the sizing guide so you can pick the one for you! :)

Now for the photos and thoughts about the beautiful clip sent to me!

Here, I used the medium-sized clip in a half-ponytail look and as an accent to my lazy-loop bun.  It held up wonderfully and was very easy to use.  My husband said it was gorgeous to him!  The clip itself is VERY sturdy and you can tell just from holding it the first time, that it's made with quality materials.  There are SO many designs to pick from that you'll have a hard time deciding which ones to buy at first.. I know I did!  I had to pick a few favorites and ask Debbi to pick from my list and just surprise me.

Honestly, if you're looking for an affordable, unique, beautiful hair accessory for everyday use, weddings, parties, proms or to give as a gift (IF you can part with it!!!) - then you need to have at LEAST one of these in your collection of accessories.  I also encourage you to seek out Debbi Cook here on Facebook to check out specials, deals, new items, purchase your own and to even sign up as a consultant in your town/city.  I'm constantly seeing people posting on Facebook asking for a local consultant in their area..

Product Review - Poise Microliners

Product Review - Poise Microliners

I was happy to be a part of the Crowdtap Poise Sampling Program... To be one of the #LadiesWithPoise and confidence! :)

These Poise Microliners are amazingly thin and shockingly absorbent!  They are quite possibly THE thinnest liners I've ever used that actually work well!  They feature SAM (Super Absorbent Material) to provide discreet LBL (Light Bladder Leakage) protection.

Now, I'm sure most people will wonder... what the difference between these liners and period liners..?  Well, honestly for me, they seem to hold up a lot longer, provide better protection and overall coverage and stayed drier, longer!  Personally, I also feel like regular liners for periods are... stiffer and definitely seem thicker than these.. I mean, they're as thin as a dollar bill to me!  Wowza!

Check out the photos above and below and click to enlarge so you can read the inserts and see the Microliner up close!  I recommend them to any woman who needs to keep her confidence in herself with LBL or who just wants to save her panties from odors and stains!

Baby's Journey Review & Giveaway

My son is only fourteen months now, and is so smart. Sometimes, I think he is to smart for his own good. That being said, your everyday baby gate does not work with him. He has already figured out how to climb over them. Also, I love that baby gates can deter a child from getting somewhere you don't want them. Or keeping your animals away from the kids when they need some of their own space. My huge issue is, I am super short, so trying to get over a baby gate, especially while trying to hold my son can be a pain in the rear.

The typical baby gate only reaches so far. My walkway into my kitchen will not hold a typical baby gate, and though I don't mind when my son is in the kitchen while I am cooking dinner and everything. I only want him in there when I can monitor him. So, my husband and I decided to use the Baby's Journey baby gate right between our kitchen and dining room.

This baby gate has two different pieces that come with it to extend the size from 30 inches, up to 46 inches. It has two pieces it comes with. One is a four inch extender. And the other is an eight inch extender. There is no tools needed to set this up. It only took my husband and I five minutes. It also is much higher then the typical gate, in case you are using it for a pet that can jump. I have a heeler and a corgi that can jump pretty high, but have yet to master this.

This gate features a step and secure. Which you can just step on to make sure that it has the perfect amount of pressure on the walls or doorways. It also has special cups that come with it, in case you are using it at a stairwell. I also love that though my son thinks it is funny to close people out with it, he doesn't know how to open and close the gate when it is locked. Just simply lift it, and put it in the middle of the gate. It is super simple.

But, my more favorite part is definitely that the gate doesn't have a way for my son to climb up the gate to get over. This gate is simply perfect!

Dino-Bubbles Review & Giveaway

Dino-Bubbles Review & Giveaway

I am a very nervous and over protective mother when it comes to my little guy. I only want the very best for him. I know that in ten years, I will look back and realize I was a bit crazy. I still feel I would rather be safe then sorry. I knew for the past few years, bubble baths can be so unsafe for children. You would think something that is geared for kids, would be safe. But the truth of the matter is, the majority of bubble baths have chemicals in them that can lead to your children having urinary tract infections. Which if not caught right away can lead to many more terrible things.

So, that being said. I was a nervous nelly about giving my son a bubble bath. I knew he would love it, but I didn't want anything to happen to him. I was recently able to try Dino Bubbles, from Smith and Vandiver

I was so excited to try these, because these are completely safe for your little ones. There are no chemicals added to these bubbles, no sulfates or dioxanes. When I took them out of the box, there was a strong, but not terrible grape smell. I did get a bit nervous that the smell of the bubble bath was going to over power the smell of my sons body wash. I put just a small amount in the tub with him to make sure he was going to be fine with them. My son spent his bath making bath beards. He did try to eat them, but I wasn't so worried knowing that they were 99% natural.

To my surprise, the smell of the bubble bath did not transfer onto my sons skin. It was great. He does love bath time, but I never hear that many giggles from just a normal bath, and it was nice to be able to sigh a bit of relief knowing these bubbles were not going to hurt him in any way. I also loved that I didn't have to repeat myself by telling him to "sit on your butt" one hundred times like every other bath night.

I was also able to try Dino-Fizz. I used this on another bath night to see how my son would react to them. After I had ran his bath water, I dropped the Dino Egg into his water. He thought it was great having the egg fizz around, he kept trying to touch it. It also left the water a slight green color. Which I thought was fun, since it didn't transfer to his skin. They have a nice light scent. When the Dino egg had finished fizzing a small dinosaur popped up. Now because my son is so small right now, I had to take it away, because he wanted to taste that. And it could be a choking hazard, but for an older child I don't think that this would be an issue. These are very cute, and leave a lot or surprise for your child.

Wowbutter Review & Giveaway

I have known quite a few people that have nut allergies. I have actually accidentally made someone peanut butter cookies when I was in school that had a nut allergy. Thank goodness he asked before he took his first bite, because that can be fatal. So, when I was able to try Wowbutter I was so excited.

I know how much a kid can love having that classic peanut butter and jelly sandwich, but can't if they are allergic. With Wowbutter, they no longer have to worry about it. And you as a parent or caregiver of some sort no longer have to worry about getting confused on which kiddo gets what. You see, Wowbutter tastes almost identical to regular peanut butter. Which is so unusual. It is great. So people with allergies, kids especially can enjoy everything that anyone else can. And don't need to feel any different.
I used Wowbutter to make peanut butter cookies, to see if my husband could tell the difference. He is a peanut butter lover, and is very particular. He didn't even know the difference, until I told him. Which is great in my opinion.

I have used this as well for my son to have peanut butter and jelly.. He can be a little picky when it comes to certain foods, but he ate it right up. This is something I can see keeping in my house as a staple.
